The Committee for Nature Use, Environmental Protection and Ecological Safety is responsible for the implementation of the City policy in the field of environmental protection and ecological safety. The main objective of the policy of the St. Petersburg City Administration in the field of environmental protection and ecological safety is to maintain and raise the quality of life of citizens, to stabilize and develop the economy without increasing the environmental impact, to transit from elimination of the consequences of pollution to its prevention.
